Special Agent has worked with Adidas since 2004 to create footwear innovations with meaningful performance benefits. We aim to be an extension of the Adidas innovation team - creating, building, and testing concepts.
Boost
When the ground-breaking Boost midsole technology was conceived, Adidas asked Special Agent to help create a shoe that would propel Adidas to the front of long distance running footwear. Boost running shoes were introduced as performance footwear for runners, offering endless energy return, torsion spring support and superior traction, propelling them to unprecedented popularity.
Clima Cool Ride
With 360 degree ventilation and lightweight construction, the ClimaCool Ride delivers airflow from all angles. The air mesh upper and sculpted midsole ensures ultimate flexibility and breathability, whatever the sport. Special Agent developed early prototypes, detailed tech-packs for manufacture, and helped realise a footwear platform with more than 5 million pairs sold.
Strung
A textile innovation that transforms athlete data into a dynamic material tuned to the athlete's needs. Strung makes it possible to map and program different fibre properties thread by thread. Special Agent created a range of new construction approaches for holding the fibres in place.
